The Toronto Police are seeking assistance from public to identify a man who stabbed a 15-year-old nearly two months ago.
“On Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at about 1:20 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing call in the Midland Avenue and Eglington Avenue East area,” the Toronto Police said in a news release on Friday.
The statement further added that the boy was followed and stabbed by a man after exited a TTC bus at Midland Avenue and Eglington Avenue East.
Both the victim and assailant were on the bus travelling from Kennedy Subway Station, the Toronto Police added.
The motive behind the attack is not know yet with the Toronto Police saying investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male involved.
The boy was treated for non-life threatening injury in a hospital, the Toronto Police said.
“It is believed that the male is under the age of 18. He was described as 5’7″, brown skin, with a thin build. At the time he was wearing a blue bubble jacket, black pants with the Ferrari logo on the right thigh, black shoes, blue medical mask, and had a black backpack with a plastic water bottle in the side pocket,” the Toronto Police said, adding that anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-4100, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
