Toronto Police charge man with 1st degree murder, seek suspect in sexual assault incident

The Toronto Police announced Thursday that they have charged a man with first degree murder in connection with an incident which took place on 20th July in Dixon Road and Islington Avenue area.

According to a statement released by Toronto Police, Abdirashid Ismail Adam, 32, of Toronto was arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with the incident earlier today.

The Toronto Police issued a separate statement asking the public help to find a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in Yonge Street and Charles Street East area on Thursday, 15th of July.

The man approached a 45-year-old woman inside a building, exposed himself and sexually assaulted the woman after asking for assistance.

The man is described as in his mid-twenties, medium skin tone complexion, and a medium build, the Toronto Police said, adding that anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5100, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
