Quebec reports 837 new COVID-19 cases, 3 additional deaths over 24 hours

Quebec on Friday reported 837 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 3 additional deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the new cases were identified out of the 32,586 samples collected on 15th September.

The latest data on COVID-19 released by the ministry indicates that the hospitalizations have increased to 262, an increase of 6 as compared to the previous day.

The ministry also added that 8 more people have been shifted to Intensive Care Units where 95 people are currently being treated for the virus.

23,064 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were also administered, including 21,813 doses which were administered in the last 24 hours, and 1,251 doses administered before September 16.

So far, a total of 12,709,800 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Quebec, the Ministry of Health and Social Services added.
