Quebec is reporting 1,628 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24 hour period.
The Ministry of Health and Social of Quebec in a statement said three additional deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of deaths to 11,611 since the beginning of pandemic.
The statement further added that 268 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
There was an increase of six in total hospitalizations in the last 24 hours. Thirty people were admitted to hospital, while 24 others were discharged.
Currently, 73 people are receiving treatment for COVID-19 in Intensive Care Unit. Ten people were admitted to ICU in the last 24 hours and five were discharged.
The ministry also added that 25,629 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 24,009 in the last 24 hours and 1,620 before December 12, for a total of 13,997,617 doses administered in Quebec.
