Police issue public alert following a suspicious incident in Toronto city

The Police issued a public alert late on Friday following a suspicious incident which reportedly took place in Toronto city in the early hours of the morning.

“The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a suspicious incident that occurred on Friday, July 9, 2021 in the Bloor Street West and St. Clarens Avenue area,” the Toronto Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that the incident reportedly took place between 12:35 a.m., and 1:35 a.m., after a woman, who was in the Bloor Street West and St. Clarens Avenue, Emerson Avenue and Wallace Avenue and Miller Street and Lindner Street areas, woman observed an older red van that appeared to be following her.

“Police are reminding the public to remain vigilant of suspicious vehicles in their neighbourhoods and report anything suspicious to police,” the statement said, adding that if anyone has been involved in a similar incident involving an older red van, please contact Detective Nimmo #5342 at 11 Division Toronto Police Service 416 808-1100.

The Toronto Police also added anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1100, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
