Ontario on Tuesday reported a slight upturn in daily COVID-19 deaths despite a decline in new cases.
According to the latest COVID-19 data released by Ontario Health, 18 people died of the virus during the past 24 hours across the province.
The Ontario Health had reported 15 COVID-19 deaths a day earlier and 10 deaths on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Christine Elliott, the Minister of Health of Ontario, said the Ontario Health identified 469 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
Elliott further added that 182 new cases were identified in Toronto, 76 in Peel, 40 in the Porcupine Health Unit Region and 30 in Durham.
She also added that 10,267,209 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered across the province as of 8:00 pm on Monday.
