Ontario reports 795 new COVID-19 cases, 5 new deaths

The Ontario Health announced Friday it has identified 795 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours.

According to the latest COVID-19 data released by Ontario Health, 5 additional deaths due to the virus were also reported during the same period.

Meanwhile, Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said 582 cases have been identified in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 213 are in fully vaccinated individuals.

Elliott further added 336 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 306 people who are not fully vaccinated or having an unknown vaccination status and 30 are fully vaccinated.

She also added 194 people are in ICU due to COVID-19, including 181 who are not fully vaccinated or having an unknown vaccination status and 13 are fully vaccinated people.
