Ontario is reporting 5,833 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24 hour period.
The Ontario Health also reported 56 additional deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
Provincial health minister, Christine Elliott, said 3,797 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Ontario.
Elliott further added that 604 people are receiving treatment in Intensive Care Unit for COVID-19.
However, she said the hospitalization numbers are not final as all hospitals do not report on weekends.
Meanwhile, Elliott, said in Ontario, 30,056,293 vaccine doses have been administered, with over 79,000 doses administered yesterday.
She also added that 91.6% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 88.9% have two doses.
The Ontario Health on Saturday reported 6,743 new cases of COVID-19 and 47 additional deaths over a 24 hour period.
