Ontario is reporting 573 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 10 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said 381 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 192 are in fully vaccinated individuals.
Furthermore, Elliot said 271 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. “228 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 43 are fully vaccinated.”
She also added that 139 people are in Intensive Care Unit due to COVID-19, including 139 people who are not fully vaccinated or having an unknown vaccination status, while 15 are fully vaccinated.
In Ontario, 22,004,768 vaccine doses have been administered, Elliott said, adding that 86.8% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and nearly 82.0% have two doses.
