Ontario is reporting 306 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 6 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said 202 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 104 are in fully vaccinated individuals.
Furthermore, Elliot said 242 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. “209 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 33 are fully vaccinated.”
She also added that 152 people are in Intensive Care Unit due to COVID-19, including 139 people who are not fully vaccinated or having an unknown vaccination status, while 14 are fully vaccinated.
In Ontario, 22,119,312 vaccine doses have been administered, Elliott said, adding that 87.1% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and nearly 82.5% have two doses.
