Ontario reported 1,057 new cases of the novel corona virus (COVID-19) and 15 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ontario Health officials said.
Christine Elliott, the Minister of Health of Ontario, said the Ontario recorded 1,507 new cases of COVID-19 out of 33,600 tests completed in the past 24 hours.
According to Elliott, locally, there are 228 new cases in Toronto, 178 in Peel, 82 in York Region and 71 in Hamilton.
She also added that as of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, 8,839,445 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
This comes as Ontario reported 1,273 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday and 14 new deaths.
