Homicide unit launches probe after 2 found dead in a home in Toronto

The Homicide unit has launched an investigation after the dead bodies of a woman and a man were found in a home in Scarborough.

The Toronto Police in a statement said “On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at approximately 7:45 p.m., police responded to a wellness check at the address of 25 James Park Square.”

The statement further added “When officers arrived, they located a woman in the hallway of the home, deceased with obvious signs of trauma.”

According to Toronto Police, the officers also located a man in the basement of the home deceased.

The woman has been identified as Daisy Sehgal, 46, of Toronto. An autopsy revealed her cause of death to be neck compressions, the statement said, adding that the man has been identified as Anurag Kalwar, 50, of Toronto.

The Toronto Police also added that the Homicide unit has taken carriage of the investigation. “The deaths are not being treated as suspicious, there are no outstanding suspects.”
