The Toronto Police have arrested a High School teacher in child pornography investigation, the Toronto Police said Friday.
“On Thursday, May 27, 2021, members of the Toronto Police Service Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in the Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue West area, in regards to an investigation involving the uploading of a large quantity of child sexual abuse material onto the Internet,” according to a statement released by Toronto Police.
The statement further added that the police arrested Sean Done, 32, of Toronto and charged him with two counts of Possessing Child Pornography, two counts of Accessing Child Pornography, and making the Child Pornography available.
The Toronto Police also added that the police seized a large quantity of child sexual abuse material during the search and the investigation continues.
Sean Done is employed with the Toronto District School Board as a high school teacher at Central Toronto Academy, located at 570 Shaw Street, in Toronto, the statement said, adding that investigators are concerned about his potential contact with students, especially online.
Sean Done is scheduled to appear in court virtually, on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 10 a.m., at 2201 Finch Avenue West, in room 206.
