The Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has announced that the fully vaccinated travellers will be allowed to enter Canada from any country as of today.
“As of September 7, fully vaccinated travellers, from any country, can enter Canada. They will not have to quarantine upon arrival if they meet all mandatory requirements,” the Health Canada and PHAC said in a statement.
The statement further added that all travellers must have proof of a negative COVID-19 molecular test taken within 72 hours before arrival, or a positive result taken 14-180 days before arrival.
Furthermore, the Health Canada and PHAC said antigen tests will not be accepted.
Meanwhile, the Health Canada and PHAC said unvaccinated children under 12 who are travelling with fully vaccinated parents and/or guardians no longer have to complete a 14-day quarantine.
However, the Health Canada and PHAC said the unvaccinated children must avoid group settings during the first 14 days after arrival.
