Canadiens lose Game 2 of Stanley Cup Finals to Tampa Bay Lightning

The Montreal Canadiens lost the second game of Stanley Cup Finals to Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday night. (Photo – Tampa Bay Lightning)

Played in Amalie Arena, the Lightning managed to defeat the Canadiens 3-1 to score their second consecutive win in Stanley Cup Finals, leading the series 2-0.

Anthony Cirelli opened the score for the Lightning during 6th minute of the second period of the game. However, Nick Suzuki of the Canadiens, levelled the score during the 10th minute of the game.

Meanwhile, Blake Coleman, gave the Lighting 2-1 lead during the initial seconds of the third round and Ondrej Palat scored another goal during the 15th minute of the third round to help Lighting seal the second game 3-1.

The Lighting had defeated 5-1 Canadiens during the first game of the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday.
