Canada defeats Panama 4-1 in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

The Canada Soccer Men’s National Team on Wednesday defeated Panama 4-1 in the third match of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Final Round at BMO Field. (Photo Credit – Canada Soccer)

Rolando Blackburn of Panama hit the first goal of the game in the 5th minute of the first half, giving his team a 1-0, until Michael Amir Murillo evened the score by scoring a goal during the 28th minute of the first half.

Alphonso Davies hit the second goal in the 66th minute of the second half, while Tajon Buchanan and Jonathan David scored in the 71st and 78th minutes, to conclude the game 4-1 in Canada’s favor.

Canada earned three vital points following tonight’s victory against Panama.

The Canadian men drew the second match of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Final Round 0-0 to Jamaica, after drawing the opening match 1-1 against Mexico.
