B.C. reports 1,853 new cases of COVID-19 and 7 additional deaths over a 3-day period

The Government of British Columbia on Monday announced that 1,853 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified in the province since August 27.

According to a statement released by Government of British Columbia, 769 new cases were identified between August 27-28, 581 cases were identified between August 28-29, and 503 new cases were identified between August 29-30.

“From Aug. 13-26, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 81.7% of cases and 85.8% of hospitalizations,” the statement said.

Furthermore, the B.C. Government said seven additional deaths were also reported since August 27, increasing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 1,814.

Meanwhile, the Government of British Columbia, said 84.2% of eligible people 12+ have received their first dose and 76.4% have received their second dose.

In addition, 84.9% (3,672,685) of all eligible adults in B.C. have received their first dose and 77.5% (3,350,149) received their second dose, the B.C. Government added.
