Alberta reported zero coronavirus deaths amid declining cases across the province in the past 24 hours.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Alberta, said Sunday that the province identified 231 new cases by completing 5,337 tests.
She also added that the positivity rate for Alberta is 4.5% and Alberta Health also identified 344 variant cases.
According to Dr. Hinshaw, there are 4,884 active cases in Alberta and 360 are undergoing treatment in hospitals with 96 in Intensive Care Unit.
“I’m happy to report no new deaths occurred over the past 24 hours,” Dr. Hinshaw added.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hinshaw said Alberta will be moving into the next stage of summer reopening plan this week, urging the Albertans to follow public health measures.
