Alberta reports over 350 COVID-19 cases and 3 additional deaths

The Alberta Health on Friday reported over 350 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and three additional deaths due to the virus.

Alberta’s top doctor, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, said the Alberta Health completed around 8,700 tests in the last 24 hours and identified 356 new cases.

Dr. Hinshaw further added that there are now 455 people in hospital due to COVID-19.

Of the 365 non-ICU, 70.4% are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, she said, adding that of the 90 in ICU, 84.4% are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

Sadly, 3 new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported to Alberta Health in the last 24 hours, Dr. Hinshaw added.

The Alberta Health on Thursday reported 379 COVID-19 cases and one additional death over a 24-hour period.
