A mortar shell hit a wedding ceremony in Northeast of Afghanistan, killing at least six people and wounding at least 10 others.
The incident took place late on Saturday evening in Tagab district, the local officials said.
Provincial government spokesperson, Shayiq Shoresh, confirmed that women and children were among those killed or wounded.
Meanwhile, another official has said the attack killed at least 10 civilians and at least 10 others were wounded.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
The local officials blame the Taliban group for the incident saying the militants of the group fired the mortar shell.
However, a spokesperson for the Taliban group dismissed the claim and said the mortar shell was fired by the Afghan forces.
